ABOUT
Boundary Operator is the dark electronic project of Ryan Cardwell, a former Army bomb squad specialist who spent sixteen years walking toward the things everyone else ran from, including three and a half years in Iraq and Afghanistan. When the uniform came off, the pattern recognition didn't. It just found a different medium.
The sound lives in the space between tension and release: deep dubstep, riddim, atmospheric bass, dark R&B. Built on sub-bass as geology, negative space as architecture, and the understanding that what you leave out matters more than what you put in. This is 3am music for headphones and late drives, made by someone who learned that silence can be more significant than sound.
